Venatrix offers a unique blend of action and stealth within the horror genre. Players can assume the role of either Matthew Kolth, an occult-obsessed paranormal investigator confronting nightmarish creatures from otherworldly realms, or Della Hartford, who relies on stealth to evade the same monsters Matthew combats.

Choose between Mr. Kolth and Mrs. Hartfort as they navigate a harrowing journey that delves into the depths of their psyches and back again. Experience their distinct perspectives, blending fiction with ethereal dream sequences, as they combat evil in both this dimension and the next.

Matthew Kolth, a paranormal investigator from the turn of the century, takes on a new case at Hartford Mansion, where he encounters Della, the wife of a wealthy businessman who believes her home is haunted. She witnesses visions of demons and interdimensional beasts.

As a player, you must make a deliberate choice: Matthew or Della. Each option offers entirely different gameplay styles and adventures.

Matthew embarks on a treacherous odyssey through the nightmarish halls of Hartford Mansion and eventually Carcosa Asylum in pursuit of Della and the answers she possesses. Guide him through the chilling depths of his own psyche while battling terrifying monsters and solving mind-bending puzzles to progress through the game Venatrix.

Matthew confronts foes from outer space, other dimensions, and his own inner turmoil to emerge victorious from this enigmatic and spine-chilling case. Along the way, he must grapple with his inner demons, with the evidence he uncovers shedding light on both the case and his own identity.

Alternatively, play as Della, who must rely on her stealth skills to navigate the same path Matthew treads. Her perilous journey forces her to confront her own inner demons, offering a unique perspective on the same world that Matthew views through a “male gaze.” As an audacious Victorian lady, her interpretation of these worldly matters adds a fresh dimension to the narrative.
