Oddworld: Soulstorm: As 300 recently freed slaves celebrate their escape from the industrial megacomplex of RuptureFarms, a new threat emerges. They quickly realize that, despite breaking their physical chains, they are far from truly liberated.

Join Abe, the savior of the slaves, on an almost impossible journey to unravel the truth behind the generations of misinformation and propaganda that have brainwashed his people. As you guide him through this epic tale, scavenge for resources and craft powerful tools, arm your followers, and choose whether to confront the enemy head-on or take a stealthier approach, leading to one of four possible endings.

Will Abe be able to free his friends and heal their wounds, or will they uncover more horrors as they traverse dusty canyons, abandoned mines, immense container yards, and cavernous train terminals? Is this the beginning of their liberation or the end of their struggle? Only you can give them the hope they need to find out.

This action-adventure platformer evolves the genre by incorporating RPG-lite elements that allow players to choose their playstyle, whether aggressive or passive. The dark narrative, with a twisted sense of humor, sheds light on the ironies of the human condition. The 2.9D environments are massive and offer players the freedom to explore the world rather than being limited to traditional side-scrolling platforms.

Quarma is a real-time feedback feature that reflects your actions in the game and affects the outcome. The scavenger economy allows you to pickpocket enemies, loot lockers, and sift through trash cans to acquire resources that you can exchange at vending machines for products that give you more agency in the game. Crafting allows you to use scavenged resources and vending machine products to create weapons and tools to overcome obstacles.

As you save more followers, the uprising becomes stronger. Gift crafted items to followers and decide whether they will be aggressive or passive. The gameplay offers 15 hours of first-time playthrough, while achievement hunters and perfectionists can easily play for dozens of hours. All levels have a tallying system, leaderboards, achievements, and badges to compete against others.
